Electronic Air Filtration
Cold Air Dampers
A cold air damper could be the answer to help make your A/C unit and furnace run more efficiently. A damper is placed at the terminating end of a fresh air intake duct. When the thermostat asks for heat, the damper will open and let fresh air in, once the furnace stops working the damper will close to prevent excess cold air from entering. This process also works in a similar manner with the A/C unit and warm air in the summer.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors
As the name suggests, a carbon monoxide detector monitors the level of carbon monoxide in your home. Like a smoke detector, it will go off should indoor carbon monoxide levels become hazardous. In order to maintain the detector in full working order, the device must be younger than 10 years old from its date of manufacture. By Alberta code, a carbon monoxide detector must be present on every floor where there are bedrooms or sleeping areas. Without a carbon monoxide detector, this gas is almost impossible to detect.
